Welcome to my little corner of the inter-webs! I just wanted to take this space to warn you that my posts will rarely be up to date. Due to the spontaneity of natural disasters and the unpredictability of when AmeriCorps' services will be requested I will be digitizing my journal entries whenever we return to St. Louis. Oh, and most of the pictures you see here were taken by myself. If ever I do use someone else's material I make a point to give them due credit though! That said, come, leave comments and be merry! ACSTL HQ - 2/6

So there was a gas explosion no more than a block away from where I am staying.  It happened around noon yesterday.  When I returned from the office at about 6pm the other night the Doah along with the whole area around Pontiac Park was blocked off by the police as the gas leak had yet to be contained.  We're all safe and, luckily, have heat and electricity.  It looks like I am going to be spending A LOT of time in the office/warming shelter this week so I am going to go and rest up while I can.  Hope life is treating you well!
